Party in the Park!
Date: 9 April 2011
Venue: Jerudong Park
Meeting place: Front entrance of the park, those with no transport to meet at church by 3:30pm
Time: 4:00-8:00pm
Things to bring: Money for the rides (between $10-$20), FOOD to bring and share! (pls check with your DTEAM LEADERS or CAMP LEADERS to find out what you can bring)
Please wear something comfy, coz you'll be running around :)
Also, pls go on Facebook and respond to the invite OR pass it on to others so they can be informed :)

REGION 1: UNITED WITH LOVE Event
Hi guys, these are the details for the upcoming Region 1 event in Limbang. Please let me know if you want to participate latest by TUESDAY 8th MARCH 2011. :) Hope you will see this as an opportunity to connect with youths from other parishes in our region, as well as a new experience at a longhouse! :) Btw, its RM50 for the entire three days (includes food and accommodation)

LIST OF THINGS TO BRING FOR YOUTH CAMP
Hi guys here's a checklist of what to bring (or not!) to camp!
Day campers:
1) A change of clothes in case you get dirty/sweaty/smelly
2) Toiletries and towel if you intend to shower at the camp venue
3) Stationery and Bible
4) Water bottle
* Day campers are to arrive at church by 7:00am (on the 24th, 25th and 26th), and can leave by about 10:30pm each night. Sports attire is advisable as there will be many activities throughout the day and comfort is a must! :)
Regular campers
1) Enough clothes for the duration of the camp
2) Toiletries and towel
3) Stationery and Bible
4) Water bottle
5) Sport shoes and slippers/sandals
6) Small mat/sleeping bag/mattress and pillows, blankets etc for your sleeping comfort! :)
*All campers are to register between 3-5pm on the 23rd of March 2011, and camp ends at 2pm 26th March 2011.

What NOT to bring
1) Electronics (e.g. mp3 players/iPad/iPod/laptops) to avoid loss or damage
2) Illegal substances (e.g. alcohol, cigarettes, drugs)
3) Sexy, revealing clothes (for girls...ok for boys too!) :)
4) Mobile phones (try not to bring these in case you lose them... your parents can call us if there's anything) :)
5) Money (you don't need it at camp)

1) Snacks (but only to be eaten OUTSIDE the dorms)
2) Board games/playing cards

WELCOME THE NEW YEAR... WELCOME BACK TO YDM
HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2010 has gone by and we now usher in 2011. It will be an exciting year with many new improvements and changes to YDM. I want to welcome back all of you regular YDMers and also those are new to us. I pray that this year would be a fantastic adventure for everyone in Christ Jesus.
YDM commence this Saturday, 4-6pm at the Parish Hall. See you all on Saturday! "ARE YOU READY?!!"

Calling All GIRLS!
Hello hello! It's been a while since we had a little girls' night; so we're hoping you girlies can make it to the sleepover we've planned which would be held starting 6pm, Monday, 20th December with a bring and share dinner up til 1pm, Tuesday, 21st December. It would be at Lorene's place.
Remember to bring your toiletries, sleeping bag, games, and junk food. ;)

YDM CELEBRATES CHRISTMAS!
Hello hello!
Christmas is about 10 days away (from when this is posted), and because this Saturday (18th December) is the last YDM for the year 2010, YDM would be celebrating Christmas by having a little makan makan. It's a bring and share, so as the practice suggests, please do bring and share your cooking/baking (or your parents' signature dishes) with the rest of YDM. Yet although it's a bring and share, please also contribute $2 (to Sherly), for the drinks and for the BBQ that we would be having.
And Christmas, being the season of giving, we would have a gift exchange as well. Bring along a gift worth a maximum of $5 (Meaning, you must bring a gift that costs you $5 or less), so that you would be able to exchange your gift with someone else.
It would be from 3-6pm at the Parish Hall.
Do invite your friends! See you there!

KidsGames Postponed!
We were supposed to be in JPS at 1pm today (Friday, 12th November 2010). HOWEVER! The KidsGames we only had 7 days to prepare for has been POSTPONED!
I'm not sure when, and there is talk that the venue might change. Meaning, we may be doing it in another school.
Nevertheless, keep your dates free so that you would be able to help out when we've confirmed when KidsGames has been postponed to. =)
YDM would resume as normal tomorrow (13th November 2010). See you!

This Just In!
Hello everyone! It's November and in less than two months, we'll be entering the new year. Nevertheless, we've still got those two months and so let's make the most out of it.
YDM will NOT be on break this year, and would still continue through December 2010!
This gives you the opportunity to invite your friends during the holidays, when you're all free from exams, etc. Remember that one of the reasons YDM exists is to reach (out) to other youths. So yes, invite your friends to YDM!
Tired of being locked up in your room studying? Feeling disappointed because your tummy's starting to bulge? Then join us and the rest of the church at the Walk For Health this Sunday, 7th November 2010 at Tasek. Registration fee is $1, but if you'd like a shirt, you'll have to pay $12 and you'll have to wait a while for the shirts. Meet at church at 3pm.
KidsGames would be held in Jigsaw Primary School, Berakas on 12 and 13 November 2010; 2-5pm on both days. Please do come and help out if you can! A training session would be held TOMORROW, 5th November 2010, in the Parish Hall from 2-4pm.
To those concerned, you are REQUIRED to attend the confirmation class & rehearsal on Saturday, 13th November 2010, 6-8pm. Following that, confirmation would be held at the 7:45am English Service (In other terms, 1st service) on the 21st of November.
The annual Nativity Play would be held on Monday, 22nd November, 7-10pm at St. Andrew's School. Come and join us as we gear into the Christmas season.
Parents Appreciation & Awards Night is at iLotus this year, on Friday, 26th November from 7-10pm. Bring your parents along, because what is a parents appreciation night if there are no parents to appreciate? ;) Tickets would be sold soon; it's free for your parents, but you've got to pay $15 for your own ticket. Basically, you'll be paying for your parents' and your own dinner. So yes, use some of the allowance you get (If you do get allowances) and buy your parents dinner for once. =D To those interested to perform something for your parents, please contact Sheiela or Blessy via facebook, email or SMS. Just so you know, there won't be any YDM on Saturday, 27th November. =)
YDM would also be carolling this year together with KOOL; more details would be coming soon.

Apart from that, please do be advised that guitar classes have ended for the year. Bass, drum and piano classes would soon be closing for the year. HOWEVER, sign ups are open for 2011. Those who would like to continue can do so as well; or you may want to learn and try out a new instrument. If you'd like to, please do sign up with the following:

Bass class: Sheng, Daniel
Drum class: Shasha
Piano class: Caroline

Calling All Singers!
Vocal lessons would be held for any YDMer interested (That's right, ANY YDMer) in being a part of the youth choir. So sorry we couldn't announce it in YDM yesterday as it was only confirm today.
Vocal lessons for the youth choir would start this Friday, 15th October, 3-5pm at the Parish Hall, and will continue on for four to five weeks.
So anyone interested, see you this Friday!
